I don't know about you but when the mercury dips to -25 C and adds in the wind chill to make it a balmy -40 C, I'm definitely not in the mood for anything including Christmas. Stuck in YYC (airport code, look it up) for my 3 weeks off on vacation, hearing the John Lennon - Happy Christmas (War is Over) song over and over with the f-ing teacher howling overtop of the kids all off key, and just dealing with home life makes me completely stressed out. Happens every year. Think it's a trigger - the classic monkey on my back.
Buy my artwork, help me move somewhere warmer.
Just wanted to thank M-Bot for letting me know that my one piece wasn't up to the NG specs. It was my first piece of work that I did with my tablet a while ago. So am I going to cry about it? Nope. I'm going to take it and change it so that it'll be even more awesome and acceptable to NG's standards.
Failure is an opportunity to learn. Those who never fail, never learn.
Stay warm and drive safely this winter season
Well, here's the next one. It's my favourite plane, the Fairchild Republic A10 Thunderbolt aka "Warthog". Another piece of work that I've digitally downloaded and touched up to make even more awesome. Thanks again to Jazza for his helpful video tutorials to make this work better. Look for it in my profile.
I did find a couple more of my drawings that I'm eager to scan and touch up. It's going to take a while but hoepfully it will impress and inspire :)
Submission for Jazza's Contest of the Month is up. A couple of firefighters battling a flaming skull. I wanted to add another firefighter telling a group of Paladins and other WoW type characters that the firefighters got this one.
I've been loving working on my Wacom Bamboo tablet. If I keep this up, I might have to upgrade. Comments on my latest piece would be appreciated but I have to be scouted first. Guess I'd better get a couple more pics up soon. I have a couple ideas including a personalized Ironman outfit that I remember from a dream I had a couple of days ago. It was silver and black with a small pack on the back and a helmet much like the Halo: Reach character Emile where it was all glass. Provides a cool HUD option. So of course I'm perusing all the Halo helmet pics online to get a good perspective for drawing.
May you have blue skies, green lights, and good swells to ride
Hey guys and gals!
I've uploading another piece of artwork for Jazza's Contest of the Month. (jazza.newgrounds.com).
Titled "Red Riding Hood", we have to take a character and change their alliance (if good, make evil - if evil, make good), I've got Little Red here being the Big Bad Wolf... well, more like werewolf... or demon.
Thanks to Jazza and his incredible tutorials on drawing and clipping masks and shading and drawing in Photoshop.
I remember when this website was brand new, Cartoon Joe and his Frog-in-the-Blender was all the craze. Now I want to be a contributor, slowly digitizing my artwork, looking to improve my drawing style, and all thanks to Jazza who runs the "Draw with Jazza" on YouTube. <a>http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHu2KNu6TtJ0p4hpSW7Yv7Q<a>
I'm new to using computers more than just web surfing, coughFacebookcough, and a few web comics.
I like surfing and want to move to Hawaii.... :D
Thanks to you guys making it a vibrant community and I look forward to sharing and learning from all of you!!
